You'll need:
rubbing alcohol (if you don't have any, alcohol swabs are ok too)
newspaper (MUST be newsprint! White pages work great too!)
base coat
topcoat
After grooming your nails as usual, apply a base coat in a light color. White, cream, and charcoal look GREAT! I chose an opalescent white, which will keep the newsprint effect subtle. If you are looking for a bolder contrast, stick with light, flat colors :)
After your nails are dried COMPLETELY, dip a small newspaper clipping into the rubbing alcohol. If you are using the pads, press a pads firmly onto a piece of newspaper clipping. Make sure you press hard enough to wet the paper.
Place the clipping on a nail and press firmly for 10 seconds.
Lift the paper to reveal the print transfer :) Don't worry about any ink on your skin... we'll fix that later.
Apply a top coat. I used Sally Hansen "Diamonds"
After the top coat has dried you can use a little bit of the rubbing alcohol to remove any newsprint for your skin.
