You'll Need:
Cornstarch
Water
food coloring
mixing bowl
small cups (laundry detergent cups work GREAT)
1. Mix Corn Starch and Water
Mix 1 cup of cornstarch and 1 cup of water. It's weird to stir at first, but it will mix evenly.
If your mixture is too thin and watery, you can add in a bit more cornstarch until it's slightly thicker than water.
2. Add Color!
Divide your mixture into as many cups as you'd like colors (this recipe makes just enough for 6 colors. If you have more than 3 kids, or you want more color options you'll need to double the batch)
Use food coloring to mix the colors you'd like, grab your paint brushes and...
3. PAINT!
This had my kids {and I} entertained for hours! The paint dries just like chalk, but since there's no "crumbs" you have so much more control and much more defined pictures! The best part is if the kids get the paint on them or their clothes, it dries to a powder and dusts off!
Chalk Paint: the Brontosaurus never had it so good!
