Whenever I'm considering a big project I like to go over the details ad nauseum. The process usually goes like this: daydreaming, visualizing, getting carried away, finding my way back to reality, discovering a problem, working around the problem, re-visualizing, measuring, designing, planning, "sleeping on it" several times, and then going for it! {OCD is exhausting} Taking into account that I have three kiddos and a job, statistically I should be interrupted every 10-15 minutes, making it damn near impossible to keep my train of thought. It's also not unusual for me to be working on two or more major projects at once. Enter: Magnetic Idea Board!
{This is by no means a new concept, but it is highly customizable and can suit any need- for your appointment cards, family agendas, hair accessory holder, spice storage, office supply storage, craft storage, etc.}
Magnet Board or piece of scrap metal
cardboard boxes (various shapes and sizes)
fabric/paper/magazines to cover
liquid glue/ glue gun/ Mod Podge
Magnets (strips or rounds)
Tools:

I picked up a magnet board from IKEA, but you could easily purchase a piece of scrap metal and use that.
Cut boxes down to size. Because of the crazy bend at the joint of the blades, Lister Scissors are perfect for cutting cardboard!
Measure out your magnet strips.
